Live Web Demo: Expenses

You can run the Expenses application as an AJAX based example running on an IIS/Windows 2000 web server (click the 'AJAX deployment' image to run the demo).

The Expenses demo decides whether to pass or reject claims for hotel expenses from the employees of a company. The basis by which the company does this depends upon a number of factors (attributes). These attributes have been used to build decision trees in the development environment of XpertRule Knowledge Builder.

When the demo is executed it will prompt the user with one question at a time following the logic contained in the decision trees shown above to reach a conclusion on the expense claim. The runtime will not ask unnecessary or repeated questions and will always produce the same conclusion for the same input. The user interface of this demo is essentially the default output from Knowledge Builder, it could easily have been modified to group sets of questions on the same page and/or improve the appearance of the page or controls.
